Welcome to 2022, if it is not too late to wish you a Happy New Year. We are not about to make a new year’s resolution which would be completely forgotten in a week or two. Rather we want to lay down some positive routines that would put our minds and bodies at ease while we watch 2022 unfold.
Here are some rituals to adopt in 2022:
Wake up 20mins earlier than usual.
We spend time on and nurture things we feel are important to us but hardly do we take care of our minds. In 2022, you would want wake up a little bit earlier than usual to take care of your mind just as you would anything you deem important to you. Do not be in a hurry to get out of bed. Take a few minutes to sit on your bed or at the edge of your bed, whichever is most comfortable. Meditate, make positive confessions. Clear your head from all fear and doubt, those only breed stress and anxiety. You need your mind to be right for the day. Feed your mind just as you would your body. You are what you think!
You may want to keep a bottle of water by your bed side the night before and once you are up you take it in sip after sip. Drinking water immediately after waking up from sleep is not the easiest thing to do, so do not rush it.
Get your poop on
Get to pooping after drinking some water. Poop may or may not come out but at least you have the satisfaction of knowing you tried. Also, a lot of magic happens in the poop house. As you attempt to poop, you will have a light bulb moment. No one leaves the poop house the same.
