There are so many books on finding ones purpose, I have read a couple of those books but never really found my purpose.
Not to say that such books are a total waste, no, you will learn a thing or two for sure.
Here are a few tips to finding your purpose;
Yearn to know
If you want to find something you must first get up and search for it right? It is the same with finding your purpose. You must have the hunger to know what you are here for. You are not going to go to bed one night and wake up the next day to have an epiphany of what your purpose in life is, not to rule epiphany out but that happens to one person out of every one thousand people. Also, it is one thing to know what your purpose is but when you know then what? If you just want to know what your purpose is but don’t have any intentions of pursuing it then don’t bother.
Go to God
With every manufactured product comes a guide or manual. These products are inanimate without a soul. Yeah! They don’t even breathe. Our case is different, thank God! I believe God created the universe; shocker 🤯 right! So, if God created me and I want to know why he brought me on earth and not Mars, why he made me a human and not a cute giraffe 🦒, 🤔 I guess I should ask him what my assignment is, right? If you are lucky you will get an answer the very first time but it doesn’t work that way. That’s why you first have to yearn because when you are yearning, you will persist until you get an answer.
Die down the noise
The search to knowing one’s purpose is the first step to self actualization. At this stage you no longer want to be blown in every direction of the wind. You want your life to count for something more. There would be a lot of distraction that will come your way. Every new opportunity that comes your way will seem like it has something to do with you finding your purpose. Most of often than not, your purpose is in synergy with those things you are most passionate about, those things you do with ease but this time with a magnifying glass.
These are three easy steps to start you on the journey of finding your purpose. The real work begins once you identify what your purpose is. Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.(Matthew 7:7:8)
Send me an email you don’t have to go on this journey alone, I would be glad to help you every step of the way.
