Meme Culture

A meme is a concept or behavior that spreads from person to person. Examples of memes include fashions, stories, and phrases.

A more common type of memes are the Internet memes, very popular among many Internet users.

An Internet meme is an image, video, piece of text, etc., by norm, funny in nature, that is copied and spread quickly by users of the Internet, often with slight differences. Memes have evolved in the past and continue to evolve. Some say they got worse, I say they just got more créative, relatable and too funny

The word ‘meme’ originates from British scientist Richard Dawkins’ book which he used this newly coined word to define “a unit of cultural transmission.” Well, let me tell you this word quickly caught on and soon became household name within the internet community. From the ‘Success kid’ meme to ‘Tough Guy Entrance’ meme, internet users  (like myself😂) have a field day when an event goes viral and trust me, it goes on and on, only becoming better and better. Once the craze dies down, internet users are patiently waiting for another meme to go viral, like a lion would, in a bush, waiting for it’s prey.

I am not even kidding, you guys, memes have changed my life in ways unimaginable. If you’re not a fan of memes, trust me! You’re missing out! Memes have a great way of knocking on the door of Bad Mood, and giving it a good slap in the face.

Give it a try, why don’t you, google a few memes and then when you see me, tell me how it went! You can also thank me later!  Good luck! X.
