TOO LITTLE TIME

“Time seems to have gone by so fast!” Seems to me like a popular anthem these days. In reality, time is not actually moving so fast. Misplaced priorities, wasting time trying to win people over, explaining ourselves to people who don’t deserve it. I don’t think in reality, anyone would argue that time has gone faster and faster. It’s an illusion people!

As time goes by, with each and every second that we spend moping over what we did and said in the past, I myself am no Jesus but, let us learn to move  on! “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has yet to come. We have only today. Let us begin.” Now I know, you’ve perhaps heard this, but you may not have carefully considered it I might as well just say it again.

Yesterday is in the past that is why it is called History, tomorrow is in the future, that is why it is called a Mystery, today is a gift and that’s why we called it Present. Life is short. Change is not spontaneous in that we just wake up in the morning and start acting right. Little by little the bird, they say, makes it’s nest.

But time, is it only an illusion? How sure are we that it says 3a.m. How sure are we that it’s daybreak so we have to get up and go on with our lives. Think about it. Time is just something that we use to keep track of our lives and what we do with it. But boy, does it have value! Oh! But this brings to mind a quote/mind-boggling food for thought by Abraham Lincoln “And in the end, its not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.”

Remember, tick, tock, tick, tock.
