for a moment in time,
the clock seemed to stand still,
traffic seemed to come to a complete stop,
and the noise that led the day’s activities seemed to never go away,
if for a moment in time, the silence was so deafening,
that the trees seemed to have lost its green,
and the sun stopped trying so hard,
then it felt as though there was no purpose for living, a grim reality to face,
such a thought sent shivers down my spine once upon a time,
at least, allow me to wander through the streets one last time,
the same streets I once traversed with nothing more than a smile on my face and a song on my lips…
