Silver Lining

It isn’t always black or white.

Life is a bundle of lessons, released in bits and pieces.

You mostly are not ready for this.

Just when you think you’ve got a hang of this thing called life,

You are thrown off balance.

Life isn’t always black or white,

You’d have some grey,

And that is the beauty.

The strides you make, the tenacity you build, the courage you garner, the resilience you develop, become nuggets of wisdom.

That thing which wakes you up in the dead of the night,

That thin sharp cut you feel in your chest,

That unsettling feeling of discomfort in your tummy,

Soon they become faint memories of your past woes.

Don’t loose sight of the silver lining,

The stars shine when the sky is dark,

There are times and seasons,

This is to assure you that there is hope and if you look closely, you will find your silver lining.
