As promised! This is the Part 2 of my book recommendations. If you haven’t already read Part 1, go ahead and do so!
Here we gooooo!
5. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. Toni beautifully captures a young black girl’s quest to change the colour of her eyes in this deep riveting novel. This novel will change your outlook on culture, race and identity.
6. War Room by the Kendrick Brothers. Prayer works, and so does God. When the paths of two women cross, miracles happen. This book is going to change your prayer life. This book is a for sure right on (in my Anthony Adams voice).
7. Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. This is a book worth reading. I’m not sure exactly WHY I read it, but I don’t regret it one bit. This book is a generational storytelling roller coaster of tales of families set in Ghana during the slave era. You might even shed a few tears!
That concludes my list! 7 books! Thank you so much for reading. What are some books you have read that you’d like to recommend? Comment them down below!
