I love fashion but I am not one to wear brands. As long as it looks good and I am comfortable, I am sold. But today’s post isn’t fashion related.
If you’re into movies like me, then the caption rings a bell. I like to relate the stages of my life to movies that I have watched and currently, I feel ” the devil wears Prada” is the one.
Here is a synopsis of the movie. Andy (Anne Hathaway) is a recent college graduate with big dreams. Upon landing a job at prestigious Runway magazine, she finds herself as the assistant to diabolical editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). Andy questions her ability to survive her grim tour as Miranda’s whipping girl without getting scorched.(credit: google search). My story is not an exact replica of the movie, however, it’s the closest to it.
Moving out of where I called home for the longest time to leaving on my own, I am at the verge of discovering my truest and authentic self. Now, I get to take and make decisions, completely( to a large extent) on my own. Along with this freedom are responsibilities. It’s a hard knock life in this street of adulthood.
Waking up much earlier than I used to, spending hours in traffic and then getting home late are a new norm and so is sleeping in public transport. I try my hardest to keep my eyes opened but the eyes wants what the eyes want. I see peopleapplying makeup, eating and some feeding their babies in traffic. Maturity, adulthood is not all rosy. I remember wanting to grow up so much, now I realize I should have just been a kid.
All I want for my birthday and Christmas are food items or money. Give me some tomatoes, potatoes, avocados etc. I will really appreciate them because I am on a tight budget.
Which movie can you relate your life to?
