When I am scared and doubt becomes my companion,
I will remember the days of old.
Those days when you were my only hope.
When the wolves are gunning for my life,
And bears are waiting to devour my carcass,
I will remember the days you delivered me from the mouth of lions.
When my heart is burdened and I can’t help but be anxious,
When I feel the weight of this world on my shoulders,
I will remember your yoke is easy and your burden is light.
I will cast my cares upon the waters,
Hoping that the waters will wash away all my fears and doubts.
I will lift my eyes unto the hills,
Where will my help come from?
I have been young and now old.
But never seen the righteous forsaken.
When a day becomes a thousand years and it feels like my end is nigh,
I will remember that you may delay but you are always on time.
Saviour, Keeper.
Master, friend.
Hear my humble cry.
I will lift up my eyes unto the hills.
From whence cometh my help?
My help cometh from the Lord.
