Your resident kitchen Einstein 😛 was at it again over the weekend. I bring to you my homemade oatmeal cookies. Easy peasy quick bake for you to try at home.
These are things you already have in your pantry. Don’t go shopping!

Ingredients: Oatmeal, butter/margarine/fat, bananas, sugar(optional), ginger powder(optional) and milk.

Blend oatmeal into fine powder and add ginger powder if you like a little kick in your cookies, mash up bananas in a bowl with a fork, no special gadgets required. Heat butter/margarine/fat in a pan. If you are going to use sugar, this is the best time to add that.

Add mashed bananas to melted butter/margarine/fat and mix them all up. Do not whisk, just gently bring everything together.

At this point you can add your oatmeal powder to this mixture and stir. You may use your well washed hands to mix it all up.

I added some whole oatmeal to my mixture for texture. This is a good time to add your milk, the milk will loosen up the mixture and make your cookies soft and tender on the inside.

Pre-heat your oven, preferably to the lowest degree of your oven. Hey! I am not a baking expert, don’t judge me ðŸ¤.
With one hand, cut dough into portion sizes of your choice, flatten it out with your fingers and place on a greased baking sheet. Once done, insert your baking sheet into the oven and let them do their thing. But every now and then, check in to see if one side is golden brown, if it is, flip the other side to receive the same golden treatment.

……And there you have it. Homemade oatmeal cookies is ready to be devoured. It tastes so good I had to say a prayer to help me so I don’t finish everything I baked at a sitting.
Easy peasy healthy homemade oatmeal cookies can be served with warm milk or hot chocolate.
These look great! I like the fact that this makes it possible to control the sugar input. Many commercially bought cookies are overly sweet. Nice!
