whilst I’m unsuccessfully coaxing my friends to get hitched,
the only thing I’m successfully doing is suppressing my appetite for party jollof,
the fairy godmother who grants engagements seems to have passed my friends by,
or maybe we’re all too young to get hitched anyway,

i could help reduce the amount of food wastage, as there are kids starving in Africa,
i will need a front row seat to all the live action, and no, not to the wedding but to the endless arguments between the aunties over the sobolo and ginger drinks line,
