Natural Hair Tips 101 ๐Ÿ’œ

I (of all people) know how much of a struggle managing AND maintaining natural hair can be, detangling, combing, finding protective styles, fighting dandruff and don’t forget the thousands of videos you watch just to find a routine to match your hair type!

Yeah, I see you smiling over there. And so having a few hair tips can make mananging your crown a teensy weensy bit easy, edgy and even fun!

So ya girl came through with some natural hair tips that can make your natural hair journey worth the while! If you’re a new natural, even better! You’re on your way to having sleek “to-die” for hair. Get it? Yeah me neither.

Okay! Let’s jump right in!

Now before I say anything, keep in mind that your diet affects your hair. Eat healthy! Fruits. Vegetables. More fruits! It’s said and it’s true. Your hair follicles need these nutrients to survive.

๐Ÿ’œDo NOT wash your hair everyday. Washing your hair frequently causes your hair to be dry, itchy and washes away the oil on the scalp that keeps your hair moisturised and full of life!

๐Ÿ’œAvoid using heat frequently to style your hair! I’m not even going to deny it, those bouncy curls that heat gives you is hard to resist, but too much of it can take the lustre and shine from your hair and can even cause hair loss. Try air-drying your hair as often as you can. You’ll see a difference.

๐Ÿ’œCondition your hair as much as you can. Whether it’s conditioning your hair in the shower or deep conditioning which can be regular is good for your hair! It keeps your hair moisturised and vibrant.

So there you go! Hmm…I smell a Part 2…
