You might not know this, but your girl is a sucker for Social Experiment videos. In these videos, people make/cause a scene, just to see how the public reacts to it, all these moments are captured on camera. Some are heart-wrenching, others too emotional to re-watch.
In this one particular video, a highschool student’s (Kenadi Beacham) project was to capture the reactions of other students after telling them that they’re beautiful, (most of the students she knew, others she didn’t) and even though it was dubbed a “social experiment, you could tell she meant it. It’s hard for her even, to accept and live with the fact that she is beautiful herself, she says, and she hoped genuinely that through this experiment, she would be able to put a smile on the faces of others and feel just as beautiful and she did! Brava Kenadi!
Some of the reactions were expected, like,
“Thank you.”
“Thanks.”
Others were,
“Aww.”
“Okay.”
“You’re sweet.”
And a few others had the I-don’t-think-so look on their face.
See, that’s where the problem lies. It’s insanely wrong to think that you’re not beautiful. I’m not judging, though. Abuse, mostly of the physical, verbal and sexual kind can put/push you into disrepair. Sometimes, forever. I’m here to tell you that it’s over. It’s okay to be a little doubtful, but don’t let your thoughts eat you up.
